Can't complain about the Barney result, all you hope for when taking that sort of bet is that your guy keeps it close, which he did, just a pity that he couldn't hold in the decider really.
We're down to Price/Cross, Lewis/White, Chisnall/Suljovic and Aspniall/van Gerwen, a high standard of players left, but who's going to come through?
Price/Cross - Price was solid against Hughes, who sadly missed a bunch of doubles, while Cross had little problem with Joe Cullen, Cross having enough time to spare to miss a bunch of doubles before coming through. Price is listed as a 40/60 dog, more or less, I've not got him as quite so big a dog, but I don't think it's quite enough to take the punt.
Lewis/White - Adie was able to get a quick lead against John Henderson with a sloppy start to the match, then held out from there. White raced to a 5-0 lead, Webster not really being able to get into a position to mount any sort of comeback. The bookies have this close to even, but I think White's just about that much better to go 0.25u White 11/10, Lewis didn't claim a single leg in 15 darts against Henderson, he'll need to improve, and while he can, it's a big ask.
Chisnall/Suljovic - Dave raced into a 5-0 lead against Wright, and was close to a sweep, but finished it off 6-1. Mensur shared the first six legs with Daryl Gurney, but slotted in three 15 dart or better legs to finish it off from there. Suljovic is a tiny favourite, similar to Lewis, and I've got it the other way, also like Lewis, but not to quite the same extent so I'm not betting this one.
van Gerwen/Aspinall - Nathan got an early lead against Wade, and eventually won 6-2, closing out the match with a ten darter, while van Gerwen's game we've mentioned above. This is another game where the underdog is not as large as the market suggests, 7/2 when I'm seeing Nathan as more than 35% to take it is worth it, 0.1u Aspinall 7/2, MvG has looked a bit vulnerable after all.
